JCA co-founded and propelled I-View, Inc. to become one of the locally preferred research agencies in the Philippines and one of the locally preferred research partners of research agencies in the region today.  From its inception up to the next ten years of I-View's operations, she remarkably captained a team of research professionals with unparalleled commitment and dedication to realize the company's mission and vision. Her leadership has driven the growth and success of the company from its birth in 2002.

Owing to her wide range of experience in working with domestic, international, and multinational corporations, I-View has earned the trust of numerous clients, both local and international.

As the company’s first chief executive, she provided the overall direction for the company ensuring the achievement of the agency's short-term and long-term goals. She made sure that all the employees enjoyed a safe, healthy and harmonious work place and maintained a corporate culture that strategically supports the mission and vision of the company.

She had been responsible for forging partnerships with regional research agencies and domestic and foreign corporations. This expanded the industry exposure, reach and expertise of I-View to various product and service categories including Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs), consumer durables and electronics, banking and finance, fashion and retail, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, media and advertising, hospitality, transportation, real estate and other specialty products/services.

Prior to joining I-View, JCA climbed the corporate ladder in advertising and marketing communications. For more than ten years, she worked with Caballero Worldwide Partners in various capacities; initially as its youngest Creative Director, before becoming the Vice President for Account Services and later on as Director for Strategic Planning and Research. As an advertising executive, she drove business growth for the agency through the development and implementation of traditional and non-traditional marketing communications campaigns (Advertising, Public Relations and Sales Promotions) and cultivation of strong client relations for a wide and diverse list of clients.

JCA holds a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Maryknoll College (now Miriam College), an exclusive and premier school for girls in Loyola Heights, Quezon City. While at Maryknoll College, she was on academic scholarship and was consistently a Dean’s Lister.

As the COO, Gigi brings her management and leadership skills to I-View and leads the organization in achieving its goal of providing employment to young men and women of the country who have chosen market research as their career. Her extensive experience in financial management and human resources development provides the agency with added strength to execute the strategic plans of the company. As its Chief Operating Officer, she oversees the execution of the business plan, financial administration, and staff management of I-View.  She interacts and collaborates with staff at all levels with great efficiency and operates with an “open-door policy.”

I wake up each morning excited and ready to go to work,” she said when asked what the single driving force is that energizes her to lead I-View.  “Because I know that I have a team that is very dedicated to their work, a team that does not only know what they are doing but loves what they are doing.  That is rare these days.  A leader is encouraged by that.

As finance officer for the previous companies she worked for, Gigi was responsible for planning, developing and implementing strategies for finance and office operations. She was also responsible in managing and controlling budget expenditure. She also negotiated contracts for tenants as a commercial leasing head.

As office administrator, she used to establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of general operations and contributed to the formulation of policies and strategies. She was also responsible in the recruitment and training of new staff and managed internal communications and awareness of corporate direction and activities.

Gigi was the Chief Finance Officer/Chief Admin & HR Officer/Commercial Leasing Division Head of Landexcel Consulting, Inc. for ten (10) years prior to her move to I-View in 2011.

She was Accountant for Lica Management, Inc. (Limcauco Group of Companies) from January 1992 to June 1994. She was also Auditor for Carlos J. Valdes & Company (Affiliates of Coopers & Lybrand) from January 1987 to December 1991.

She holds a degree in Business Administration (Major in Accounting) and graduated from the Philippine School of Business Administration in Quezon City in 1986.

She is equipped with admirable work ethics that is seldom seen in professionals her age.   Ara is the epitome of I-View’s vision and mission where an opportunity was provided, taken and successfully realized.

A well-rounded professional, Ara today leads a team of more than a hundred field researchers, data encoders and analysts, statisticians and research executives in serving I-View’s roster of clients and finding creative ways to increase the business and grow its network.

The success or failure of a research project is largely anchored on your diligence to screen and ability to speak to the right members of the population. I-View enlists the participation of more than 200,000 consumers each year,” Ara replied, when asked what the most challenging part of the research process is.  “It seems easy to find them with more than 100 million Filipinos but we ‘look’ for the select few nationwide, across demographics, from different regions of the country, who qualify for the studies.”  Asked to explain, she mused, “It is the most challenging because the respondent qualifications are becoming more stringent, yet you have budget constraints.  But it is the most fun too.  There is nothing like knowing the minds of the consumers.  That is a wealth of knowledge.

As the company’s former data processing head, she was responsible for encoding, processing, and analyzing data results of all the studies done by the agency.

As fieldwork supervisor, she made sure that all projects were implemented according to the research parameters. She was also responsible for the quality and integrity of the data released to clients.

Ara is a graduate of the Philippine School of Business Administration. She holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Management. She is highly skilled in most computer applications and passes her in-depth understanding of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences or SPSS to the data processing group.
